Carolina Bosenberg

Spanish Language Teacher

Carolina is a Colombian Spanish teacher who moved to Adelaide in Jan 2016 from her hometown, Bogotá. She holds a BA in Modern Languages and a Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics to Spanish as a Foreign Language from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, one of the best universities in Colombia. After finishing her Bachelor Degree, she worked in the same university for 5 years as an English teacher and as a Spanish teacher when she was done with her MA.

Since Jan 2016, Carolina has worked mostly as a private tutor and has had truly rewarding experiences with students with different needs, backgrounds and passions. She loves working along with her students to help them accomplish their goals through ongoing feedback, as well as learning from their learning styles and the different cultures they come from.

Carolina has worked as a Spanish teacher and tutor for almost 4 years in Colombia, México and now Australia (hopefully the list will go on!) As traveling is one of her passions, she enjoys learning from other cultures and helping her students understand her own background and different features of the Latin and Spanish culture.

He is a specialist in curriculum and pedagogy and is currently studying a Master of Arts in Education with a major in Leadership and Management at Flinders University.

Ricardo has extensive experience in the design and implementation of academic programs in language teaching and educational support for students and teachers to create learning environments. Ricardo has taught English and Spanish in Colombia to children and adults in schools and universities, and lived in London for two years where he studied English.

He is passionate about teaching and interacting with people. He is convinced that in the process of learning any second language the motivation comes from using the language in real life contexts where the students can internalize the knowledge they acquire. Ricardo has an excellent sense of humour and is a very sociable person. He arrived in Australia in 2016, but in that short period of time, he has enjoyed not only the Australian culture but also the people.

Carmen Cabrera

Spanish Language Teacher

Carmen is a Spanish teacher from Andalucía, Spain. She started teaching Spanish to students from overseas in 2008, while she was also working as an International student’s counselor for the University of Córdoba.

She holds a Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Cordoba and a master’s degree in Anthropology, from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. She also holds a certificate in ELE (Spanish as a foreign language) from the International House (Spain), a certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and has recently completed an ELE specialization course with the Instituto Cervantes.

Up until 2011, Carmen combined her tertiary studies with the private tutoring of English and Spanish. She also volunteered as a Spanish conversation assistant for a few years. Before she moved to Australia, she managed a language school in Madrid where she also taught English and Spanish and had the opportunity to work alongside teachers from all around the world.

Since Carmen moved to Australia in 2014, she’s been working as a Spanish & English private tutor. She has also conducted some workshops (English at work; standardised exams) for migrants coming to Australia.

Carmen has learnt a few languages herself and knows how to accommodate the lessons to her classroom’s needs. When it comes to learning, she’s a most enthusiastic and motivated person and she likes to pass that motivation on to her students.

A different language is a different vision of life.
